Continuing the business…
In 2019, Elevated Remodeling was formed on the exact same piece of land by Brandon DiBartolo, John Clemente’s great grandson. Inspired by his ancestors, he has built a business that started in the very same room exactly 100 years later. Soon after, his sister Alyssa and first cousin Ryan Wright became vital assets to the growth of the company. Two years later, they have built a team of over thirty employees and service the tri- state area.
Elevated Remodeling stems from 100 years of family business started in 1919 as Clemente Inc.
It was march 10th, 1900 in Valla, San Giovanni, Italy, Anthony Clemente was born and later came to America at the age of six. Thirteen years, later at the age of nineteen Anthony started Clemente Inc. He started a hauling business in Carney’s Point with a single wagon and horse. He created such a high demand for his services that soon he was using fifteen teams.
In 1925, in order to further expand the business with contracting, he acquired motorized equipment in place of the horse drawn vehicles. Anthony, was then able to carry out large contracts for road building which became the major feature of his business. Then in 1928, his three brothers joined him in running the company; John, Philip and Joseph. Fifteen years later in 1944 Clemente Inc. was able to grow at a rapid pace employing 75 people, used 34 trucks, had 5 power shovels, cranes, 2 bulldozers, 3 road scrapers, 2 cement mixers, road rollers and much more smaller equipment. Towards the end of the 1900s Clemente Inc. was recognized as one of the biggest construction companies in New Jersey.
